Setting up Outlook 2007 to access 1and1 e-mail

MS OUTLOOK 20071. From Microsoft Office Outlook, select Account Configuration. Select Yes and select Next.![]() 2. Select Manually configure server settings or additional server types then select Next. ![]() 3. Select Internet E-mail and select Next. ![]() 4a. To use IMAP Select IMAP as the Account Type. Fill in the correct information and select More Settings.... ![]() 4b. To use POP Select POP as the Account Type. Fill in the correct information and select More Settings.... ![]() 5. Select My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication and turn on Use same settings as my incoming mail server. Select OK. ![]() 6. Sometimes Internet Service Providers are known to block Port 25. They expect their customers use their outgoing servers to send emails. There is a way around this. Under the "Advanced Settings" tab change the outgoing server port from 25 to 587. 7. Once you have completed the Advanced Settings click OK and then Next and finish the account setup wizard. |
